My adult life has been defined by chronic pain (fibromyalgia), often caused by childhood trauma. I have been tracing foggy memories through family albums, in the pursuit of unspoken words.
This book stems from a longing for the lively colours of my happy childhood. The smell of the first bloom and the spring sun brought me back to this place,
“Den hof”.
This is where I, just like my mother and her mother, grew up. This garden is our home, this place is our legacy.
